In my role as a Principal Consultant, I’m responsible for uncovering real customer insights to improve the products and services offered by our clients’ businesses. My work primarily involves designing and leading customer research projects, and then working collaboratively with the design and development teams to make sure that the end product we create successfully meets user and business needs.
My background is in art and design, having graduated with a first in Fine Art before the internet and mobile phones were really a thing. I transitioned into UX having worked for 15 years in various roles within the creative industry, starting out in branding and design before moving into digital 7 years ago.
Along the way, I've picked up valuable experience in marketing and research, and completed an MRS Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research.
I’ve always had an equal love for art and science, so for me, UX provides the perfect combination of creative and analytical thinking. I like to understand how things work – from the minds of the customers using a service, to the way the service is designed and built. I find learning about accessibility, and ensuring that services meet the needs of the wider population particularly interesting.
In previous roles, I’ve worked in a variety of sectors and industries including FMCG, professional services, leisure, charity, public sector and more recently, financial services.
In my spare time, you’ll find me walking in nature, procrastinating about home improvement projects, or going to art exhibitions and behaving like a gin snob.
