I designed my first website 23 years ago, and have been creating digital products, services and experiences ever since. As one of the Experience Design Directors at Foolproof, I’m responsible for leading projects with our clients and helping to create an environment where our brilliant designers and wider teams can do great work.
That work ranges from designing and shipping new products to planning long-term digital transformation, always with an aim to create something that both delights users and delivers real business value.
I’ve spent the last eleven years of my career applying and evangelising UCD in agencies, most recently in New York, before moving back to the UK and joining Foolproof at the start of 2021.
In that time, I’ve helped design an online ordering product for KFC, sent people into space with Unilever, re-imagined Audi’s digital experience, identified product growth areas with eBay, created a VR storytelling platform for Samsung, and redesigned Kraken’s cryptocurrency trading platform, and app.
I’m a firm believer in the power of brand, and the role it can play in creating experiences that are differentiated from the rest of the field in more than just features. I believe good design can only come from diversity; of people, experiences, backgrounds, and opinions. My own opinions are generally strong but lightly held.
My love of strategy and design extends to my personal interests, and I’m a sucker for pretty much anything well designed, well made, or (rather unfortunately) well branded – cars, watches, and workout gear in particular. I’m an avid gamer, keen runner, improving skier, and passionate cook.
