As a consultant, I enjoy the challenge of balancing user needs with our client’s business goals and convincing our clients of the impact of good user experience.
Often, you’ll find me conducting user research to uncover the root of the users’ pain points and pondering over interview notes to draw connections and insights. I see myself as the voice of users - deciphering, clarifying and translating their unspoken needs into actionable insights for our clients. I am most excited when clients are able to step into the users’ shoes and use those learnings to make their digital products easier and more enjoyable to use.
I come from a background of Business Development in consumer businesses, with experience in growth strategies in Singapore, Japan and India. It has always been in my nature to be inquisitive, whether is it pushing boundaries in business strategies or diving deeper into users' motivations behind observed behaviours. My role at Foolproof allows me to satisfy my curiosity and bridge my understanding of both the business and end-user.
Outside of work, I am also an avid hiker and diver and am passionate about marine conservation. Whenever I can, I like to be underwater, blowing bubbles with the fish, looking for nudibranchs (a fancy word for Pokemon-ish sea slugs), removing marine litter, or doing some coral gardening on the artificial reefs.
