Accessibility
At Foolproof, we are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible and inclusive for everyone. Whether you’re a frequent visitor or exploring our site for the first time, we want your experience to be seamless, enjoyable, and barrier-free.
Our commitment to accessibility
We believe in digital inclusivity and strive to create a website that everyone can use, regardless of ability. We continuously evaluate and improve our website to ensure it meets or exceeds accessibility standards. Accessibility is an ongoing journey for us, and we are dedicated to learning, evolving, and implementing best practices to make our platform as inclusive as possible.
Conformance status
We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as well as Level AAA where we can. These guidelines are internationally recognised standards that define how to make digital content more accessible to people with disabilities.
We are constantly striving to improve our website and would welcome any comments and suggestions you may have. Contact us at accessibility@foolproof.co.uk.
Measures to support accessibility
Our website includes the following considerations and features to increase its usability for everyone:
Visual design
All text and design elements are tested for adequate color contrast to ensure readability.
Text content adheres to font size and readability guidelines and supports resizing up to 200% without loss of meaning.
Non-text content
All images and other non-text elements include alternative text where necessary.
Videos on our site can be paused for user convenience, and will never auto-play if they have sound.
Navigation
Full keyboard navigation is supported, with a clearly differentiated focus state.
Structural markup, including landmarks, are in place to aid in page comprehension.
Forms
All form inputs are associated with meaningful labels.
Personalisation options
Both light and dark modes are available for visual comfort.
Reduced motion settings are respected to provide a comfortable experience for those sensitive to motion.
Additional aids
A site map is included to aid navigation.
Meaningful link text is used throughout the site with consideration for screen readers.
Accessibility limitations and alternatives
While we strive to meet accessibility standards across our website, there are some areas where limitations exist. These are outlined below, along with alternative solutions where possible:
Careers section
This section is powered by third-party technology (TeamTailor) and does not fully meet accessibility standards.
It cannot be fully navigated using a keyboard, particularly the job search filters.
Some form elements in the Careers section lack labels, which may make it challenging for screen readers to interpret.
Certain areas do not meet recommended colour contrast ratios.
We are actively working with our partners to improve the accessibility of the Careers section. In the meantime, if you encounter difficulties using this part of our website or require assistance, please contact us at accessibility@foolproof.co.uk, and we’ll do our best to help.
Older blog posts
Some older blog posts have incorrect heading hierarchy, which may affect page comprehension for screen reader users.
Ongoing efforts
Accessibility is not a one-time task, it’s an ongoing commitment. We conduct regular audits and testing to identify and address potential barriers. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us create a better experience for everyone.
If you encounter any issues or have suggestions for improvement, please don’t hesitate to contact us at accessibility@foolproof.co.uk. We’re committed to making our website welcoming for all.
