As a Designer at Foolproof, I craft elegant solutions and help visualise complex problems. I believe that the best designs are invisible, delightful but purposeful in delivering value to users and stakeholders. I enjoy borrowing inspiration from other industries, weaving them together with user insights to create meaningful outcomes.
I graduated from the Renaissance Engineering Programme in Nanyang Technological University with a hybrid education in Mechanical Engineering and Business. My multi-disciplinary background imbued in me an experimental curiosity, and a knack to always question if the mechanics of things can be simplified. When I transited to the design industry, I brought that ethos along, together with the fascination of marrying technology and strategy with user-centred design.
I began my career with a dual role as an Industrial Designer and Interaction Designer at a local product design agency. I had the privilege of collaborating with engineers and users to craft physical and digital solutions from ideation right through to delivery. I have worked for clients ranging from government agencies to non-profits and start ups, spanning FMCG, transport, wellness and retail.
While immersing myself in the design world, I discovered a love for illustrating and since then, have become a strong advocate for its unique storytelling power. I have worked with DesignSingapore and various non-profits to humanise concepts and strategies that are difficult to grasp.
Outside work, I am on the hunt for the best flat white in town. If I'm not hunched over my iPad illustrating quirky little characters or doodling funny moments from the day, you can find me in the dance studio.
